ایالات‌متحده روز پنجشنبه ۱۷ نوامبر بیش از ۱۰ شرکت مستقر در چین، هنگ کنگ و امارات عربی متحده را به اتهام تسهیل فروش محصولات پتروشیمی و فرآورده‌های نفتی ایران به خریداران در شرق آسیا تحریم کرد.
در بیانیه‌ای که وب‌سایت خزانه‌داری منتشر کرد، آمده است که این شرکت‌ها فروش فرآورده‌های نفتی و محصولات پتروشیمی ایران به ارزش صدها میلیون دلار را به خریدارانی در شرق آسیا و به نیابت از شرکت‌های تحت تحریم از جمله شرکت ملی نفت ایران و شرکت پتروشیمی تریلیانس و همچنین شرکت صنایع پتروشیمی خلیج فارس تسهیل کرده‌اند.
